I’m a staff writer for Fast Company’s FastCoLabs, where I write about the data-infused future of music, mass media and the people building it all.
Since I took the death-defying plunge into being a full-time writer, my work has also appeared on VICE’s The Creators Project, Esquire, Billboard, ReadWrite, The New York Times, Philadelphia Weekly, Plan Philly and WHYY’s Newsworks. I also teach a digital design course in the Journalism department at Temple University.
Prior to becoming a full-time writer, I managed digital publishing for a weekly newspaper company where I oversaw Web development, digital product management, online editorial strategy and much, much else.
Some of my recent work can be found on the Published Writing page.
When I’m not writing, I play drums in a psychedelic rock band based in Philly. I really like taking photographs, exploring cities (mine and others) and thinking about the future.
